THE COVID-19 STATE OF EMERGENCY HAS BEEN LIFTED EFFECTIVE JUNE 16, 2021

Governor Scott has issued the following directive to guide Covid-19 post-emergency recovery activities:

Vermont Executive Department Executive Order No. 06-21

In light of the current resurgence of Covid-19, on August 30, 2021 the East Montpelier Selectboard adopted a resolution encouraging eligible residents to become vaccinated and local public-facing businesses to recommend indoor mask use for staff and customers. See:

As of June 22, 2021, the East Montpelier town office building is open, with some restrictions, to the public and committee meetings can once again be held in-person. We are still limiting access for land records research to a one-at-a-time basis, with appointments encouraged but not required. As of August 13, 2021, we have, hopefully temporarily, reinstated a mask mandate at the town office due to the surge in Covid-19 caseload. See:
