The East Montpelier Historical Society will host a special event marking America’s 250th year of declared independence. 

Thanks to the Vermont Covered Bridge Society, we will display a “Betsy Ross” flag on the Coburn Bridge on Coburn Road on Tuesday, June 30 at 2:00. There will be a short ceremony.   The public is welcome to attend.  Coburn Road is accessed from either Rte. 2 heading to Plainfield or from Rte. 14 heading north.  It is close to the Cate Farm.  The Vermont Covered Bridge Society is donating flags to be displayed on every covered bridge in Vermont, so we are pleased to be included in this recognition of our covered bridge.
