Town Forum will be held by Zoom remote conferencing services on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 7:30 p.m.
2021 Town Meeting
Town Meeting, as an all-Australian Ballot voting event, will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2021 with polls opening at 7:00 a.m. in the East Montpelier Elementary School gymnasium.

What You Need to Know About East Montpelier
The following town offices are up for election at 2021 Town Meeting, March 2, 2021:
Town Moderator, 1-year term
Selectboard Member, 3-year term
Selectboard Member, 2-year term
Selectboard Member, 2 of 3-year term
Lister, 3-year term
Auditor, 3-year term
First Constable, 1-year term
Planning Commissioner, 3-year term
Planning Commissioner, 3-year term
Planning Commissioner, 3-year term
There are 8 Washington Central Unified Union School District school board positions up for election as part of the March 2, 2021 Australian Ballot voting. All school board positions are voted on by all 5 towns. There is one school board seat (with a 3-year term) available for residents of East Montpelier.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic petitions for elected office are not required for 2021. If interested in running, please contact Town Clerk Rosie Laquerre (clerk@eastmontpeliervt.org; 223-3313 x 201). Consent forms (authorizing your name to appear on the ballot) are due to Rosie by 5 p.m. on Monday, January 25th.
Petitions for proposed articles on the 2021 Town Meeting Warning, with a minimum of 5% valid signatures, were due to Rosie by 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 14th; Rosie recommended 130 signatures for these petitions.
